Retirees Gather for 2023 Holiday Party

More than 150 retirees and guests turned out for the annual Retirees Association Holiday Party on Dec. 8, 2023 at the Eastwood Manor in the Bronx. The afternoon gala featured a cocktail hour, a full dinner and open bar throughout the 5-hour party from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. The party also featured nice giveaways like Retiree Association tee-shirts and posters, as well as a raffle that included a widescreen TV courtesy of Ken Larkin of Fusco, Bradenstein and Rada.

Association Director James Manzella, Manager Barry Roberts, and staff Shalena Lindsey, Victoria Griss, and Carolyn Surian organized the event, with the help of Local 100 staffer Dexter Victory and Association Volunteer Cynthia Wells. Executive Board members Yvonne Burkhalter, Angelo Camaioni, Deloris Frazier, and Emily Louise Allen attended, as well as special guests from the Local 100 leadership team including Local 100 President Richard Davis, Secretary Treasurer John Chiarello and Vice President Shirley Martin.

The widescreen TV was won by retired TAS Bus Operator Tommy McNally, now a two days a week pickle ball player, and a good one. He is surrounded by RA and Local 100 staff and officers.
