The Rosato family has announced that a wake for Executive Board Member Frank Rosato, who passed away Sunday May 31, 2026 will be held Thursday June 4, 2026 at the Vernon Wagner Funeral Home 125 Old Country Rd. in Hicksville, NY, Viewing from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday June 5, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 855 Carmans Rd. in Massapequa, NY at 10:45am.
Brother Rosato died on Sunday morning, May 31, 2026, at Plainview Hospital on Long Island. He had been rushed there earlier in the week with a heart related emergency.
He started with TWU Local 100 as an active member of the former Queens Private Bus Lines as a Bus Operator for Steinway Transit in Astoria, NY. He was the elected Vice Chair of Transportation until Steinway was merged with Queens Transit in 1986. He retired in 2004 after 33 years as a devoted member and officer of the union.
