“Serving as Director for this past year has been an honor,” said Manzella in his final message to the Board.  “I wish to thank this Board and President Davis for their support this past year, and I wish my friend, Jimmy Whalen, all the best in this very important job as Director.”

Whalen brings decades of experience as a member and officer of Local 100 and the TWU International Union, as well as a Trustee to the MaBSTOA Pension Fund and member of the MaBSTOA Pension Investment Committee for the past 25 years.

President Davis praised Brother Whalen for personally helping him develop his union leadership skills, in particular mentoring him in the proper way to conduct grievance hearings for the membership, and in professionally dealing with management.  “I know Jimmy will do a great job for this Association,” said Davis.  See more about Brother Whalen’s career here.
